Police are investigating after a man was injured in a shooting in Port Alberni.
RCMP say the victim was shot in a back alley in the 3000-block of 4th Avenue at around 5:30 a.m. on Friday.
He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Based on initial information gathered so far, police believe the shooting was a targeted attack.
They’re looking for an older-model black Dodge pickup that was seen fleeing the area at the time of the shooting. No arrests have been made.
Investigators have talked to witnesses at the scene, but are asking anyone with further information or surveillance or dashcam footage of the incident to call Port Alberni RCMP at 250-723-2424.
