Suspect arrested after man killed in Surrey home

Homicide investigators have been called to Surrey after a man was killed inside of a home on Sunday.

At around noon, Surrey RCMP were called to a residence in the area of 191 Street and 68 Avenue by the Surrey Fire Department about the “sudden death” of a 57-year-old man, according to a news release.

Officers responded and arrested a 42-year-old man at the scene.

Police say there is no risk to public safety.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in.
