The Betrayal is an ongoing Thai drama originally adapted from one of the famous British TV series of 2015, “Doctor Foster.” The Korean adaption of the series “The World of Married” was released on 27 March 2020, which was a huge success.
The Thai remake of the drama is named “The Betrayal,” released its first episode on 23 August 2023. The story follows Jane, who is a well-known psychiatrist and a loving wife and mother.
Her life was going perfectly until she found her husband, Athin, cheating on her with a college student. As Jane untangles her husband’s true face, she loses consciousness, leading to herself becoming a psychic and shattering her own family.
The Betrayal Episode 4: Recap (Spoilers)
The Betrayal Episode 4 starts with Jane finally deciding on getting a divorce from Athin. However, she still didn’t let Athin know about his mistress. Jane visits a lawyer alone to consult about the divorce. She appeals that after getting divorced, she wants everything she owns, even if it’s in his husband’s name, since she is the only one who bought them with her money.
But the lawyer asks him to gather as much as possible evidence, especially photos, videos, and other strong proof. Also, the decision of who will raise the children will be entirely on the children’s will.
None of the parents can interfere in that matter. Next up, she happens to bump into Tul, who was drinking in her bar. Both spend quality time talking. But someone took their photo together and posted it online, allegedly as a dating post.
Tul ensures Jane this is common since he is a celebrity and he knows how to handle the situation. The post gets’ deleted, and everything gets sorted out. But at home, Athin gets conscious about Jane meeting with another man. There’s an agreement start between them, which frustrates their kids.
Now, as per Jane’s lawyer’s plan to win the divorce lawsuit, she starts tailing Athin with the help of Toey. She gets Toey an apartment adjacent to Kate’s so she can keep an eye on when Athin visits her and gather photographs of them together.
The financial matter is the responsibility of Jane herself. She visits the bank manager to look into her husband’s account, but since it’s a confidential matter, she can’t get her hands on it.
Lastly, the only person who comes in here to help her with her husband’s accounts is his accountant, who was no other than Chat. She fixes an appointment to meet him and fix the deal. However, Chat asks for a nightstand in return for giving her the details.
Chat hands over a hotel room key to Jane. She goes to a hotel room but clicks Chat’s pictures and threatens him to show her the accounts; otherwise, she will leak his lecherous behavior to his wife.
The next day, Chat in fear of losing his dignity, sends all the financial records of her husband and his hotel, too. Jane is shocked to know that for so many years, Athin’s hotel has been going under losses and is on the verge of going bankrupt.
Only a heavy investment can help his hotel rise to its fame. Not only this, but also Athin was using Jane’s money too right under her nose without getting noticed. This all makes Jane more furious, and her will to get a revengeful divorce gets more strong.
