What Episode Does Naruto Fight Sasuke for the Second Time?

Naruto and Sasuke’s dynamic had been pretty complex since the very beginning whenever the two of them were on screen together.

There was a certain kind of hostility between Naruto and Sasuke; Naruto always thrived to do better than him. While Sasuke constantly looked down upon him in the initial part of the series,

Sasuke never admitted that Naruto was a good enough opponent for him. Sakura bound the two of them together, and Naruto was never shy about his feelings towards Sakura.

But Sakura never reciprocated his feelings; she genuinely cared about him, but it was always in a platonic way. Meanwhile, Sasuke always had a soft side for Sakura because he wanted to protect her and cared about her.

The three of them shared their trauma and happy moments together. Which eventually builds up the kind of relationship we see later on in the series. However, before Naruto and Sasuke became friends, the two of them were not very fond of each other.

They constantly loathed each other’s presence and wanted to do better than the other party. Sasuke had only one goal, which was to become stronger than ever.

But unfortunately, he could not become stronger by working with his comrades. He wanted to follow Orochimaru to accomplish his goal of becoming stronger and taking revenge.

It was the time when Sakura confessed to Naruto that she could not stop Sasuke from leaving Konoha. Sakura believed that Naruto was the only person who could stop Sasuke.

In what episode does Naruto fight Sasuke for the second time?

Naruto fought Sasuke for the second time during episode 128. Sakura begged Naruto to bring back Sasuke as his old self and stop him from destroying his body. So Naruto had to track down Sasuke. He found him in the Valley of the End.

Sasuke had the Cursed Seal, so Naruto figured out that he was no longer the Sasuke he knew. Naruto recalled all the happy moments he shared with Sasuke, and he could not lose his friend to Orochimaru.

Even when Sasuke did not like Naruto, he always protected him from harm. So Naruto could not leave Sasuke when he was the one who needed protection this time. Naruto told Sasuke that their comrades risked their lives to find him.

But Sasuke did not care for his comrades. Shikamaru Nara did not even consider Sasuke his friend, since Sasuke was still a Shinobi of Konoha. He was still one of their comrades, even though he was not like himself because of the cursed seal. They decided to risk their lives to save Sasuke.

When Sasuke did not listen to Naruto, he had to charge at Sasuke and throw some punches at him. Naruto reminded Sasuke Orochimaru was the one who killed their third Hokage.

So Naruto was not sure why Sasuke believed that Orochimaru would give him powers. Naruto knew that Orochimaru was manipulating Sasuke to gain his body.

However, Sasuke was ready to get killed by him at the cost of gaining power. Naruto could not give up on pursuing Sasuke.  Meanwhile, Naruto had made a vow to take Sasuke back to his comrades, even by using his force.

Sasuke used his cursed seal power to strike Naruto in the abdomen and send him flying in the other direction. The power was growing inside Sasuke’s body, and he wanted to remove his curse mark to explore his power.

Naruto fell into the waterfall, but he could not figure out how Sasuke got so much stronger. Naruto got out of the waterfall and attacked Sasuke to wake him up from the curse.

But Sasuke had already woken up, and he no longer entertained the idea of a peaceful future. He used a fire-style dragon-flame jutsu on Naruto after tying him up with the rock.

Naruto episodes are streamed on Crunchyroll, Funimation, Hulu, Netflix, and Tubi TV depending on the region.
